Paul Cairns – Bsc(Hons) Ost. Med. ND
Paul is fully registered with the General Osteopathic Council and is a member of the British Osteopathic Association and the Osteopathic Sports Care Association.
Paul graduated in 1997 from the British College of Naturopathy & Osteopathy in London. He worked in New Zealand for nearly 2 years before returning to practice in the north of England. Paul started his own practice at South Cave GP Surgery in ’01 and currently runs private clinics in two GP surgeries.
Paul was invited to be the Consultant Osteopath for Boots in their pilot venture into Health Services where he worked for two years before taking over the osteopathic business in Leeds in ’03 operating from LA Fitness until relocating to Esporta in The Light.
Paul specialises in dry needling, which is often called ‘western acupuncture’ and can be very effective for pain relief and muscle relaxation. It can be particularly useful for osteo-arthritis, migraines and trapped nerves.
Paul has a special interest in sports injuries and has provided the osteopathy and masseur team for the Leeds 1/2 Marathon for the last 5 years.
Paul has post-graduate training in work place assessment and ergonomics, sports injuries, core stability and visceral osteopathy (manipulation of abdominal organs).
In seeking to maintain good health and prevent future problems, Paul will advise on your posture, diet, lifestyle, exercises and stress management as appropriate to your condition.
